JSol was my girlfriend and I’s favorite place to live. We had been there since it opened in 2021 and it exceeded our expectations. We have since moved to another city and often catch ourselves wishing we could have brought JSol with us.

Location is fantastic, close to Ballston Quarter, two metro stops, and great restaurants/attractions

Front desk and leasing staff was always on top of things I.e. package delivery, building maintenance requests, community events. In particular Patrick is THE go-to person. He looks out for all of the residents and is super proactive in accommodating requests. He has been with JSol since the beginning and is super knowledgeable.

Jorge and Antonio are FANTASTIC for maintenance. They always came to repair things in a timely manner. They also have been with the building since the beginning, so understand nuances with how it was built.

Rachel is a great property manager. Cares sincerely about residents and while mistakes sometimes occurred with billing/payment platform, I always had confidence she would work with us appropriately and make things right.

The cleaning staff also does a great job and the building is always clean/secure. Now at a different property, we have learned this is not the case everywhere and shouldn’t be taken for granted.

Overall we loved living in JSol for the past 3 years and if we return to the Arlington area, it will be the first place we will consider making back to. I recognize it can be on the expensive end to live there, but believe you will be happy with the quality of life and stress free environment.

Awful move out experience. Beware- you will be on the hook for all kinds of charges when you leave and they will not give you back your deposit.

Update: we have still not received deposit money we are owed. We moved out after 3 years (paying over $100K in rent) and the management made us pay $$$ to replace the stove top that was working perfectly - this charge against us is against Virginia law (tenants are only obligated to pay for repairs outside normal wear and tear) and we have explained it to management in detail but management refuses to return our deposit.

Warning all potential tenants that you may be charged unreasonable (and illegal) fees when you move out. Very disappointed with this treatment after being excellent tenants and paying so much rent….

I had a nice experience through the tour and leasing process. Patrick was quite responsive and helpful throughout. I’ve now been here 4 months and I remain pleased with my apartment, the building, amenities, the location, and all of the staff. It’s been a nice experience with Patrick and the full leasing team, our front desk crew is great (special shout-out to Roschida who is always smiling and quick to greet me each day) and great work by the crew who manage to keep the entire building fresh and looking top notch. I’m happy with my decision of J Sol.

My God, what a bad experience, the girl at reception was too rude, she refused to give me information about the building, from the beginning when opening the door or giving information it was clear that she had to go rest, she looked tired too. I didn't understand her attitude and I left. I don't think I can go back to that girl and her attitude. Bad experience.

The best spot to live in Ballston in 2022. Views from the Capitol all the way to Tysons from the upper floors. Patrick takes care of the place and the whole JSol team is friendly and helpful.
In spring 2023 some of the service began to decline. The TVs in the 22nd floor party room, and the 21st floor gym, and the second floor ping-pong lounge stopped working. Despite a few requests about when they’d be updated and fixed, it’s Sept 2023 and they’re not fixed.

A beautiful apartment with a stunning rooftop pool and the best luxury apartment gym out of every apartment I toured in DC and Arlington. Everyone who works here is professional and friendly. I love the Ballston area, it’s very social and has lots of nice running trails. I couldn’t be happier. The apartment itself is a great layout and very modern. They decorated the common areas beautifully. Everything is clean and the views are outstanding! All of the residents here are sweet, helpful, and social. I couldn’t be happier!

Full disclosure: I haven’t been a resident at JSol but I did work with the staff and toured the building when I was looking for an apartment. Not only is the building exquisite and well maintained but the staff was great. I was in a slight housing emergency when I showed up at JSol without an appointment but Patrick was very kind and was able to give me a tour. He was a joy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone considering touring JSol.

J Sol is a fantastic place to live, offering easy access to everything one could desire. In my research, I found that the value at J Sol surpasses that of similar buildings due to its high-quality amenities, new construction, and modern appliances. The apartments are well-insulated and exceptionally quiet.

I cannot speak highly enough of the top-notch staff. Everyone possesses an exceptional attitude 24/7. Patrick Huff, in particular, cares for residents as if they were his own and consistently goes above and beyond to make our lives easier. I'm pleased to call J Sol my home.
